data added to NCVS Victimization Analysis Tool (NVAT)
You can access data on criminal victimization, including —
- violent victimization (rape or sexual assault, robbery, aggravated assault, and simple assault)
- property victimization (household burglary, theft, and motor vehicle theft)
- personal theft (pocket picking, completed purse snatching, and attempted purse snatching).
Users can analyze victimization counts, rates, and percentages by select victim, household, and incident characteristics, and crimes reported and not reported to police. Data are from the National Crime Victimization Survey.
